Sandracca Varnish Kit

Sandracca Resin is natural and vegan and can be used to make a transparent, satin-finish protective varnish for all types of materials and to protect chalk paint or clay paint. It is highly durable and water-repellent. If you want to make it opaque, you can do so using our fine or medium Scotch Brite sponge 24 hours after applying the varnish.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS KIT : The kit is composed of 500 ml of isopropyl alcohol, 56 g of Sandarac Resin and 4 g of Benzoic Gum.

To make 500ml of paint, empty the contents of the resin in the bag into a container and add the entire 500ml bottle of isopropyl alcohol.

Wait 24 hours and transfer everything into another container (preferably an airtight one, such as a graduated laboratory bottle), filtering with a cotton cloth to eliminate residues and impurities.

The paint should be used within 6 months to maintain its resistance and not release impurities.

Clean all tools first with alcohol and then with soap and water.
